Emily Hunt Turner is a civil rights attorney with a background in architecture and public policy. She is the founder and CEO of All Square—a social enterprise centered on a craft grilled cheese restaurant and a professional institute that provides social capital and financial support to formerly incarcerated individuals. Prior to All Square, Turner spent five years as an attorney for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), tackling issues of fair housing and housing segregation. She was selected as a 2015 HUD Emerging Leader, a program in which she spearheaded federal prisoner reentry reform in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Syracuse University's School of Architecture with outstanding thesis honors in 2007 and went on to receive a master’s in public policy from Georgia State in 2009 and her juris doctor from Loyola University in New Orleans in 2012.
